Squitieri & Fearon, LLP has filed lawsuits on behalf of people who have been injured after using eye drops that were contaminated with bacteria.  Some people lost vision and others had bad infections from using the contaminated products.

For example, Squitieri & Fearon has filed lawsuits on behalf of people who lost vision after using Target brand eye drops (including the UP &UP store brand) and CVS brand eye drops (including the CVS Health Multi-Action Relief Drops). These eye drops were contaminated with a dangerous bacteria, including a bacteria called Pseudomonas. Other eye drops and artificial tears have had similar contamination, including eye drops and artificial tears sold under these brand names:

Squitieri & Fearon, LLP is investigating claims for people whose Cosori air fryer caught on fire or overheated.

In February 2023, Atekcity Corporation recalled over 2 million COSORI® Air Fryers that were sold since 2018 after hundreds of reports of fires, burn injuries, overheating, and property damage.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled air fryers. To check if your air fryer is being recalled, look for the model number that is printed on a label on the bottom of the air fryer or the user’s manual.

The recalled air fryers have the following model numbers: CP158-AF, CP158-AF-R19, CP158-AF-RXW, CP158-AF-RXR, CAF-P581-BUSR, CAF-P581-AUSR, CAF-P581-RUSR, CP137-AF, CP137-AF-RXB, CP137-AF-RXR, CP137-AF-RXW, CS158-AF, CS158-AF-RXB, CS158-AF-R19, CAF-P581S-BUSR, CAF-P581S-RUSR, CAF-P581S-AUSR, CO137-AF, CO158-AF, CO158-AF-RXB, or CP258-AF.  All of the air fryers have the brand-name “COSORI” printed on the front of the unit. They came in 3.7-quart and 5.8 quart sizes. The units may be black, gray, white, blue or red colors.

Costco Square Trade Protection Plan Class Action

Squitieri & Fearon, LLP is investigating claims that Costco sells its Square Trade Protection Plan to customers who buy televisions, tablets, cameras, computers and major appliances even though the warranties from the Protection Plan expire before some of the manufacturers’ warranties. The allegation is that Costco is selling worthless Protection Plans without telling its members. Costco sells the Protection Plans without providing the actual terms and conditions to the customers until after the customer completes the purchase. Costco’s members cannot determine the limitations of the coverage prior to paying for it. Squitieri & Fearon, LLP is already representing Costco customers in a pending class action.

Dove, Nexxus, Suave, TIGI and Tresemme dry shampoos CANCER-CAUSING BENZENE  INVESTIGATION

Squitieri & Fearon, LLP is investigating claims for people who purchased Unilever-produced Dry Shampoo products that failed to disclose that they contained Benzene, a known carcinogen.  Benzene is a highly flammable chemical used primarily as a solvent in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.  Exposure to benzene can occur by inhalation, orally, and through the skin, and it can result in cancers, including leukemia and blood cancer.

It was recently revealed that the following dry shampoos contained benzene without any disclosure to consumers that the products contained benzene and without any disclosure that the ingredient could cause cancer:

Unilever falsely advertised its products as safe, while concealing information that Benzene has long been linked to fatal forms of leukemia and other cancers.

ELMIRON INVESTIGATION

Squitieri & Fearon, LLP is investigating claims on behalf of people who took Elmiron, a prescription drug used to treat bladder pain and discomfort associated with interstitial cystitis (IC).  Elmiron has come under fire for its link to serious eye damage.

Approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 1996, pentosan polysulfate sodium (Elmiron) is supposed to treat bladder pain and discomfort associated with IC.  IC, also known as “painful bladder syndrome,” is a chronic bladder condition with no known cure.

Elmiron may be linked to the following diseases:

• Macular degeneration
• Pigmentary maculopathy
• Retinal maculopathy
• Blurred vision
• Difficulty reading
• Distorted vision
• Eye pain
• Issues adjusting to darkness
• Vision disturbances
• Vision loss
