Scully & Scully Credit Card Number Disclosure

In April 2010, Squitieri & Fearon LLP brought a class action lawsuit against Scully & Scully, Inc. (“Scully & Scully”) for violations of the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act of 2003 (“FACTA”), an amendment to the Fair Credit Reporting Act.  The complaint alleges that Scully & Scully, Inc., which operates a retail establishment in New York selling luxury furnishings, collectibles and clothing, distributed point-of-sale receipts containing customers’ full credit card account numbers and expiration dates.  This practice is strictly prohibited by FACTA, which authorizes statutory awards to those customers whose sensitive information has been compromised.  Have you received a credit card receipt from Scully & Scully that displayed your private credit card account information?
